  • Oranjehof – Your Dutch Connection Centre

  • Welcome to Oranjehof, the home of the Dutch community in Aotearoa Nieuw-Zeeland.

This is onze plek, our place, where all things Dutch come together. Come and visit us in Foxton, or have a look around here online. Discover our stories and treasures. Explore the Dutch experience in this country. Right now. this is a modest website. But it will grow over time.

In Oranjehof, you can find out about Abel Tasman’s encounter with Māori at Golden Bay in 1642. You can explore personal recollections of the waves of migrants that arrived since the 1950s. Or perhaps you want to discover current events, linking New Zealand and the Netherlands.

Our national Dutch museum and cultural centre invites you to make your own Dutch connections. It’s a place where all things Dutch come together.
Check out your connections. You may be surprised! A real Dutch treat. Echt op z’n Nederlands.
